To receive confidential information regarding your financial aid, you must provide your birthdate and NIU Z-ID account number. Parents of dependent students can receive confidential information by providing the same student information.
No confidential information can be released to spouses or parents of independent students or to non-custodial parents of dependent students. At no time will dollar amounts be given over the phone.
NOTE: During peak processing periods (especially during the months of June, July, August and September) it is common for all phone lines to be busy. You may need to attempt several times before reaching our office.
