Follow the directions on the information sheet if you are an NIU student who is enrolled at both NIU and another college or university for the same semester. Financial aid will not pay for remedial coursework or any courses that do not apply and transfer to your NIU degree. Concurrent enrollments are not needed for student loans. You must be enrolled 6 hours per semester at NIU to qualify for loans.
Complete this form if you have received your Award Notification and have NOT requested your MAXIMUM Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan limits for Fall/Spring. If you have not received an Award Notification from us yet, do not complete this form. Instead, complete your loan request on the Award Notification when you receive it.
Parents wishing to borrow through the Federal Direct PLUS program will need to submit this form to the Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO) authorizing NIU to initiate an on-line credit check.
Required of all students enrolled for the summer 2008 semester who want financial aid. Complete the form on-line, print and sign it and submit it to our office. You are also required to complete the 2007-2008 FAFSA if you have not already done so. You will need the free Adobe Reader 8 to download this form.
Important Notice: As of 4/1/08 TCF Bank will no longer be participating in the Federal Family Educational Loan Program (FFELP). If a student is eligible for a summer 2008 Stafford Loan and their last Stafford Loan borrowed was through TCF, they will need to choose a new lender code and will need to complete a new promissory note.
