This grant is need-based and can help undergraduates pay for educational expenses such as tuition and fees, room and board, and living expenses. The maximum amount is $750 for first-year students and $1300 for second-year students who have at least a 3.0 grade point average. This grant is need-based and is available to Federal Pell Grant recipients who are enrolled full-time in their third or fourth year and pursuing a major in mathematics, science, technology, engineering or a critical foreign language. The maximum amount is $4000 per year. The student must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in the courses required for the major. Illinois MAP grants are need-based and are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree and who are Illinois residents.
