Special Conditions for Dependent Students

2008-2009 Academic Year

  • A parent will have a significant decrease in income in 2008.
  • You have already applied for financial aid and since that time your parents have legally separated or divorced.
  • You have already applied for financial aid and since that time a parent has died.
  • You, the student, will have a significant decrease in income in 2008.
  • Your parent(s) paid significant medical/dental expenses in 2007, which were not covered by insurance.
  • You have book, supply, material and/or lab fee expenses that exceed the amount allotted in the financial aid budget
  • You have travel costs that exceed the amount allotted in the financial aid budget.
  • Processing dates for re-evaluations with estimated incomes are from May through November 2008. Signed copies of 2008 tax returns and
    W-2 forms will be needed to process a re-evaluation after November.

2007-2008 Academic Year

  • A parent will have a significant decrease in income in 2007.
  • You have already applied for financial aid and since that time your parents have legally separated or divorced.
  • You have already applied for financial aid and since that time a parent has died.
  • You, the student, will have a significant decrease in income in 2007.
  • Your parent(s) paid significant medical/dental expenses in 2006, which were not covered by insurance.
  • You have book, supply, material and/or lab fee expenses that exceed the amount allotted in the financial aid budget
  • You have travel costs that exceed the amount allotted in the financial aid budget.
  • Processing dates for re-evaluations with estimated incomes are from May through November 2007. Signed copies of 2007 tax returns and
    W-2 forms will be needed to process a re-evaluation after November.
